The Frida Kahlo of Penge West is written and directed by south Londoner Chris Larner and stars Cecily Nash and Olivia Scott-Taylor, who has recently finished filming for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The story revolves around a woman who lets an old university friend – a vain out-of-work actor – sleep on her sofa. The actor decides to put on a play of her own, dragging her friend into a supporting role, or eight.
The show comes with a warning: its dodgy Mexican accents are contagious.
The Frida Kahlo of Penge West is in London at the Bridge House Theatre in Penge High Street from November 4 to 23, 2014.
