"Hola Frida!" the 1st animated film on Frida's childhood at Annecy International Animation Festival

05 June 2024

An exclusive screening of Hola Frida!, the first-ever animated feature film about the childhood of Frida Kahlo by Dandeloo, will take place next June 11 and feature music and exclusive footage.

French pop singer Olivia Ruiz will read a number of Frida Kahlo's correspondence during the event. The 75-minute feature film, which is aimed at children aged 5 to 9, was produced by Haut et Court Distribution (France), Du Coup Studio Production (Canada), and Karine Vézina and André Kadi. The fictitious childhood tale Frida captures the colorful and inventive world of a young Frida Kahlo in Coyoacan, Mexico.

The upcoming Annecy International Animation Festival (June 9–15, 2024) will feature three special animation events presented by French animation production and distribution company Dandelooo.
