The world's largest pop-up card dedicated to Frida Kahlo, marking the 70th anniversary of her death

18 January 2024

"The world's biggest pop-up greeting card for all girls free to dream" - Furio Ceciliato.

2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the death of Frida Kahlo, the famous Mexican artist whose indomitable spirit has always been a symbol of resilience and love of life.

Furio Ceciliato - the volcanic founder of Origamo, Italy's best-selling premium greeting card brand, based in Cirié (TO), and President of the Italian Greeting Card Association - wanted to mark the occasion by creating a bridge between this female icon of strength, perseverance and independence and all the girls around the world who, regardless of their social background, have the right to pursue and realise their dreams.

The real gigantic card, realized in callaboration with the Frida Kahlo Corporation, is almost three metres high and measures 9.67 square metres, beating the previous world record of 8.20 square metres, held in Dubai.

The new record was set on Thursday 11 January 2024 at the Fieramilano exhibition centre (Rho, Italy), on the occasion of the opening of Milan Home, the important trade fair dedicated to the world of living and home décor.
