The world's largest pop-up with Frida's image: the attempt will take place in Milan on 11 January.

27 November 2023

The world's largest pop-up with Frida Kahlo's image to break the record and help Vietnamese children. The attempt will take place in Milan on 11 January. Recipient of the charity is the Christina Noble Children's Foundation.

The largest pop-up is the project and record attempt in which Origamo, an international company specialising in the production of greeting cards based in San Maurizio Canavese - Milan - Italy, will be engaged. The year 2024 will in fact mark the 70th anniversary of Frida Kahlo's death (what it is shown in the exclusive image below is not, however, the final version).

The giant card depicting the iconic Mexican artist was developed in official collaboration with the Frida Kahlo Corporation in Miami and, of course, has a charitable purpose: to collect donations for the Christina Noble Children's Foundation, the most important foundation in Vietnam for helping the most vulnerable children and families in need.

"In particular," explain Erica and Furio Ceciliato, founders of Origamo, who personally follow the sending and use of the funds and coordinate the Foundation's activities in Italy, "the funds will go to support the 'Sunshine Homes for Girls', the Family Homes in Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon where girls and young women at risk of exploitation and human trafficking are lifted out of poverty by giving them the childhood they deserve.

For this we thank the pool of companies that collaborated to this project: Onadalba, a leading industrial group in the production of corrugated cardboard, My Design, Frida Kahlo Corp - Paper Art - Skylog and Milano Home".

The record attempt will take place on Thursday 11 January 2024 at 10.30 a.m. in Hall 3 of Fieramilano (Rho), on the occasion of the opening of Milano Home, the trade fair dedicated to the world of living and home décor (milanohome.com)

The record-breaking ticket, almost three metres high and measuring over nine square metres, is a candidate to beat the current world record of 8.20 square metres held in Dubai: it will be on display for the entire duration of the event (11-14 January) and it will be possible to receive an Origamo Limited Edition ticket worth 10 euros, the "normal size" version of the giant ticket, as a gift against a donation to the Foundation.
