The Permanent Collection of the MAM, situated in the Chapultepec Woods, shows works of some famous Mexican artists women like Frida Kahlo, María Izquierdo and Cordelia Ureta. The famous painting "The Two Fridas" belongs to the museum's fund.
The collection includes works of David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera and Oliverio Martínez, between others. Along with the creators of the second generation of the Mexican School stand José Chávez Morado, Olga Costa and Jorge González Camarena.
Also the authors that grow aside from the plastic lineaments established by the muralists are represented: Manuel Rodríguez Lozano, Abraham Angel, Julio Castellanos and Agustín Lazo.
