"Non so scrivere lettere d’amore" (‘I don't know how to write love letters’): art, love, pain and courage in the life of Frida Kahlo and in the musical influences of South America.
In Frida Kahlo’s biography, with the vigour and intensity of Mexico’s colours, the most powerful themes of the universe and of feminine sensibility are deeply intertwined: passion, betrayal, pain, love of life, friendship and self-expression through art and freedom from social conditioning.
A narrative about the female artist that flows like an intense inner monologue, complemented by the musical influences of South America as a counterpoint.
The themes and colours of the narrative are echoed by a carefully curated selection of ‘feminine’-inspired musical pieces, performed with intensity by the voice of Sabrina Gasparini and the accordion of Claudio Ughetti.
