Tate Modern celebrates Frida Kahlo Exhibition with a film made by Ace of Hearts

02 September 2026

The movie, which was produced by Ace of Hearts, commemorates the best-ever pre-selling show of Tate Modern in London, UK.
The entire story of the trailer is told in Frida's personal words. It begins in her early years and swiftly reaches the 1925 tram accident: X-rays, family photos, the relocation to New York, and Frida painting from her bed are all accompanied by a heartbeat that accelerates beneath it.
The final section covers life after death. It looks at the various ways Frida has been interpreted since then, and concludes with the observation that, more than 70 years after her passing, her influence is still expanding rather than diminishing.

It was made with UNTOLD STUDIOS, directed and edited by Humby and produced by Chuckles Studios.
Richard Brim, Co-Founder & CCO at Ace of Hearts, said, "Being asked to work on this project is great but incredibly daunting, as Frida means a lot to many different communities. It’s great to see the work out there and landing so well."
