In her solo show "Frida Karlha" the French-Lebanese actress delivers a powerful and intense performance as the Mexican icon. She plays Frida with a voice that refuses to be silenced.
"Frida Karhla" brings Frida Kahlo back to life as a free, open and fiery presence. Carla Antoun carries this biopic single-handedly on stage, navigating a world of a wounded body, painting, love, drama, laughter and the need to stay strong.
The play does not reduce Frida Kahlo to an icon. It portrays a woman torn between pain, betrayal, creativity and freedom. The audience is drawn into an intimate, at times raw world, where every memory seems to emerge from a living painting. These are the play highlights:
✔ a biopic dedicated to Frida Kahlo
✔ Carla Antoun alone facing the audience
✔ a story of flesh, painting and love
✔ a free-flowing narrative blending drama, humour and vitality
Performer: Carla Antoun
