The event takes place in Cagliari and Sestu (Sardinia, Italy) from 9 to 14 June: a journey through art, theatre and culture, celebrating the values of inclusion, creativity and community.
On 11 June in Sestu at 7.30 pm, the show “IL SOGNO, DIPINTO DI FRIDA KAHLO”, organised by the TEDACA’ Association of Turin and featuring actress Francesca Cassottana. A site-specific performance for a small audience, conceived as an intimate and authentic encounter. In this intimate space, Frida Kahlo tells her story in the first person, as if in a chat among friends, amid confessions, memories and melancholic smiles. Her voice traverses pain, love and art, revealing the fragile strength of a woman who transformed suffering into colour. The audience, gathered around her, becomes a privileged witness to the story of a revolutionary painter and an indomitable spirit. A sincere and vibrant moment that culminates in her most famous cry: Viva la Vida!
On 13 June in Cagliari at 8.00 pm, "FRIDA, UN NASTRO INTORNO ALLA BOMBA", a performance organised by the TEDACA’ Association of Turin, featuring actress Francesca Cassottana. A monologue accompanied by original music and visual art exploring the life and legacy of Frida Kahlo, from her childhood to the day of her art exhibition in Mexico in 1953. On stage, Frida finds herself in dialogue with La Pelona, Death, to exorcise what has been of her existence and, at the same time, to drink to life and to the courage to rise again and transform herself.
