"Casa Azul A cena da Frida…portate la tequila!" theater play at Teatro Ghione, Rome, Italy on Dec.12
02 December 2025
"Casa Azul – A cena da Frida… portate la tequila!" (Casa Azul Dinner at Frida's... bring the tequila!) is an original show by and starring Daniela Del Moro, directed by Manuela Metri, with a special guest appearance by Fioretta Mari, with live music, choreographed performances and a visual setting that blends theatre, art and storytelling. It is A STArt production, which invites the audience to sit at the table of the most iconic Mexican painter of the 20th century to celebrate with her a night of celebration, memories and revelations.
The idea is inspired by a powerful image: a dinner at Casa Azul, Frida Kahlo's famous home in Coyoacán, now a museum and symbol of a life lived in excess of passion, art and pain. The evening is the one in which Frida prepares to remarry Diego Rivera, in a second marriage that smells of madness, obstinacy and redemption. In this setting, real but suspended between memory and imagination, the performance mixes the elements of biographical narrative, intimate reflection and theatrical play.
