In this new exhibition the American artist John Ransom Phillips joins two oustanding women, Mary Lincoln and Frida Kahlo, in a conversation spanning time, space, and experience. Despite living in different eras and cultures, both women experienced love, grief, illness, and public scrutiny. Through Phillips' expressive artwork, their stories are reimagined to highlight the common struggle between vulnerability and visibility as well as the pursuit of selfhood beyond the confines of history.
This is his first UK exhibition, taking place at the Royal Watercolour Society Gallery from 30 January to 21 February 2026. Complete info at this link.
