What the ballet shows is not the life of Frida Kahlo, but a theatrical vision of a sensitive and colourful world, inspired by the artist's life journey. It takes the audience on an exotic journey to a dreamlike world where music, visual arts and dance come together.
Like a guided tour, the dance and images of the works show the beauty and challenges of Frida's life, a woman and artist unique in her time, and express the passionate nature of her inner life. They reveal an inner world and a profound culture, create a festive atmosphere and describe her personal life in a few remarkable moments.
Frida is an artist known throughout the world, and this ballet allows those who love her to see her art and her life from a new perspective. Many have been inspired by her work, her battles for fair treatment, her visions and her tenacity.
The show, with a contemporary point of view, immerses us in the heart of Mexico, Frida's homeland, with its surprises and revelations, giving a new look to the emotions and passions that marked her life.
