Frida 's garden in Mexico City, La Casa Azul, served as the model for "Frida's Garden" exhibit. The garden is situated inside the well-known "Frida-Blue" walls. It consists in a miniature version of the pyramid with Aztec influences and a toad pond. With a Southwestern twist, the new garden's plantings will pay homage to the original.
To mark the opening of "Frida’s Garden", artist David Conklin presents his vivid portraits of Frida Kahlo in the Porter Hall Sunporch. Complementing these expressive portrayals are Conklin’s vibrant oil paintings, which draw inspiration from the beauty and themes of nature.
