"Frida Kahlo l’arte, gli amori, il mito" theatre play in Udine, Italy on June 19

17 June 2025

"Frida Kahlo the Art, the Loves, the Myth" tells the story of Frida's life and her relationship with Diego Rivera, but also their relationship with the Friulian photographer and revolutionary Tina Modotti.

The relationship between Frida and Diego was a combination of love and passion, disputes and contrasts, separations and reconciliations. They met in 1922, when Frida was only 15 years old and Diego was painting a mural in the National School in Mexico City, where she was studying. Frida was overwhelmed by Diego's charisma: she was still a teenager and he was 20 years older than her.

"Pies para qué los quiero si tengo alas para volar?" (Frida Kahlo)
"Feet, why do I need them if I have wings to fly?"
