"Frida-Stroke of Passion" play in Los Angeles next May 16-18
07 March 2025
In a reinvented immersive staging, Odalys Nanin's critically acclaimed 2017 production Frida-Stroke of Passion returns for a limited run at Casa 0101 Theater.
It will be possible to enter the world of Frida Kahlo, where her paintings of plants and animals come to life before us, accompanied by the sounds of her fantasy world. An intimate glimpse into Frida's mental and physical condition in the final week of her life, where fantasy and reality coexist and are sufficiently tinged with eerie elements to create a living, breathing drama.
Odalys Nanin is the playwright, director, and portrays Frida.
Co-directed by Carmelita Maldonado. Presented by Macha Theatre/Films.
