The exhibit was supposed to close in November, but due to its popularity, the museum decided to keep it open until February 23. It consists of 60 pieces in various media, including paintings, drawings, prints, and photographs.
By examining the key events in Kahlo's life and how she incorporated symbolic motifs into her still lifes and self-portraits to deliberately convey her emotional responses to significant events, this exhibition will lift the myth surrounding her, using a chronological approach.
Photographs of Kahlo taken by her closest friends and fellow artists will be included with these pieces to further illustrate her sensuality and vulnerability, which still captivate us today.
