Exhibition at Ana Colorado Art Gallery features 15 different interpretations of Kahlo until 15 Feb.
13 December 2024
Ana's Art Gallery, located at 1100 Spruce St. in Boulder, opened its "Frida In Their Style" exhibit at noon on Friday.
One of the most famous and significant painters in the world of art is the late Latin American Frida Kahlo, whose enigmatic self-portraits have become cultural icons that can be interpreted in a variety of ways.
For a show that runs through February 15, curator Ana Weir has now collected 15 different interpretations of Kahlo. The pieces consist of collage, paper mache, mixed media, oil, and acrylic on canvas.
