“Frida Naturaleza Viva” at the V Muestra de Cine Mexicano Otoño 2024 in Rome, Italy

The first film on the life of Frida Kahlo, directed by Paul Leduc in 1983, will be screened on Sunday 6 October in collaboration with Televisa- Univision and the Cineteca Nacional México.
Mexican director Valentina Leduc, who played the iconic painter Frida Kahlo, in the film ‘Frida Naturaleza Viva’ directed by her father, will be one of the guests of honour, together with the Mexican filmmaker and producer Bertha Navarro, who will be the protagonist of a meeting with the public. A champion of Ibero-American cinema, she has received numerous national and international awards.
The fifth edition of the Muestra de Cine Mexicano Otoño 2024, the only Mexican film festival in Italy, will be held at the Casa del Cinema in Rome from 4 to 6 October 2024. Directed by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma and with the artistic direction of Cecilia Romo Pelayo, the festival offers a heterogeneous programme that includes 11 feature films and 5 short films, some of which will be premiered, all in original language with Italian subtitles.
