The Phoblographer article linked below talks about famous painters and how they can motivate to compose better photos.
Similarly to music and literature, visual arts have always been among the most popular mediums for expression. Humans have always found new and meaningful ways to express their feelings, as shown by the Renaissance and cave paintings. Visual storytelling has evolved along with new inventions, just like other artistic disciplines. One of the newest and possibly most democratic art forms is photography, which offers an example of this.
Photography is a term that Sir John Herschel coined; "photo" means "light," and "graph" means "to draw." It goes without saying that some of the most well-known principles of the medium, even in modern times, have their roots in painting, its elder sibling.
Frida Kahlo is among the artists selected by the review, including Michelangelo Caravaggio and Rembrandt van Rijn, René Magritte, Norman Rockwell, Vincent Van Gogh.
