"Hola Frida!", an animated film for five- to nine-year olds, is in production in France
16 February 2024
Dandelooo Cinéma is currently producing the animated film exploring the fictionalized childhood of Frida that should be released in September 2024
Indeed Hola Frida! is a feature that's being developed right now. It tells the made-up tale of "a little girl who is different. Her world is Coyoacan, Mexico City. Sparkling, vibrant, everything interests her and when difficulties arise, she faces them with an overflowing imagination. This little girl is called Frida Kahlo.”.
Delivery of the film is scheduled for September 2024. Karine VeŁzina and André Kad are the directors, and Haut et Court Distribution (France), Tobo Media (Canada), and Du Coup Studio Production (Canada) produce it.
